Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Friday December 22, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Then to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 374 Salem Rd, Barrie on Saturday December 23, 2017 from 12:30 PM -1:30 PM.

McKerroll, Allister Jermey (retired locomotive engineer, 42 year employee of CNR)
Passed away at Hospice Simcoe, Barrie on Wednesday December 13, 2017 at the age of 92. Allister, beloved husband of Marion McKerroll (nee Goss) of Barrie and formerly of Orillia and Capreol. Loving father of Linda Birney (Briane) of Napanee, Diane Redman (Norman) of Welland, Mary Sue Bourget (Rick) of Whitefish Falls, Bud (Mary Anne) of Barrie and Glen of Fort Myers, FLD. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Cherished brother of Charles (Mildred) of Orillia, Barbara Robson (Elder) of Jarratt and Peter (predeceased) (Esther) of Coulson. During his time at CN Rail he especially enjoyed the runs he made from Capreol to Brent and Toronto to North Bay; he retired from VIA Rail in 1987. The family wishes to thank the RVH Cancer & Palliative Care Units and Hospice Simcoe for their care and compassion through this difficult time. Visitation will be held at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Friday December 22, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Then to Emmanuel Baptist Church, 374 Salem Rd, Barrie on Saturday December 23, 2017 from 12:30 PM until time of Funeral Service at 1:30 PM. Private Interment St. Andrew’s – St. James’ Cemetery, Orillia. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
