July 10 1931 November 27 2017 (age 86)
Allan Richard Wood of Peachland, BC and previously of Prince George, BC passed away with his wife Joyce of 30 years by his side November 27, 2017 at the age of 86 years.
He will be remembered and sadly missed by his wife Joyce, children Wayne (Brenda), Chris (Dennise), Darren (Crystal), Debbie (Brian), and Carolyn (Mike); stepdaughter Cathy Murphy, granddaughter Jodi Murphy, siblings Delbert (Dorothy) of Prince George, BC and John Wood of Vernon, BC; their families, plus many friends. He was predeceased by siblings Bill and Stan Wood and Mary Thomas, all of White Court, AB.
Al loved playing crib and enjoyed RVing together with Joyce. His little dog ‘Peaches’ was his girl who always travelled with them. He was past president of the Elks and was a member for over 35 years. He spent many hours volunteering for that great organization.
Al was such a caring man and had respect for every person. He always had a hug for everyone.
I have been blessed to share 30 wonderful years with this man by my side. I love you dear and always will. Rest in peace. Love, Joyce
The Celebration of Life will be held on December 10, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Elk’s Lodge, 343 Ellis Street, Penticton, BC V2A 4L8. Memorial tributes may be made to Elks and Royal Purple Fund For Children, 100-2629 29th Ave., Regina, SK S4S 2N9.
