McGAUGHEY, Alice Kathleen Margaret
Alice Kathleen Margaret McGaughey, nee Toner, beloved wife of James McGaughey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Westlock, Alberta. Alice was born in Vermilion, Alberta on July 25, 1935. Alice is survived by her husband James and six children. Kevin (Elsie), Mary Ellen (Ted) Metherell, Sheila (Wyatt) Glebe, Nora, Pegeen (Tom) Hardinge, Michael (Caitlin), and a special sister Sheilah and Wayne (Ireland). She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Ellen Toner, and her granddaughter Kelsey Anne Stout, nephew Tim Toner, brothers Pat, John, Alphonse, and Peter, six sisters, Rose, Elizabeth, Eileen, Theresa, Bridget, and Frances. Also surviving are her beloved nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives in Ireland and the U.S. Alice lived a fulfilling life raising a family, working in school libraries, and enjoying travelling when she retired. In lieu of flowers, donations to your favorite charity would be appreciated. A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, May 1st, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Westlock with Father Ambrose Umeohanna smmm and Father Pichè officiating.
