Obituary for Alice Lennan
Passed away peacefully at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia on Tuesday, January 17, 2017. FLORENCE ALICE LENNAN (nee Kimble), of Petrolia, was in her 96th year. Alice was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Clifford (2002). She is the loving mother Wayne and Bea Lennan, Marie and Wayne Erickson, and Donna May and Neil Teskey. She was predeceased by her daughter in-law Sandra (2000). She Will be missed by her grandchildren Lori and Roger Hyatt, John and Marion Lennan, Brad and Heather Erickson, Jeff and Michelle Erickson, Kimarie and Darren Murray, Rod and Lesley Teskey, Ryan and Marie Teskey, and Richard and Karissa Teskey. She was great grandmother to eighteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. She will also be missed by sisters Ella MacDermid and Ruth Cox and her sister-in-law Margaret Lennan. Alice was predeceased by her parents William (1963) and Florence (1974) Kimble, her sisters May McPhail (2008), Fanny Douglas (2013), and Effie Kimble (1920), and her brother Richard Kimble (1971). Alice and her husband farmed near Petrolia for her most of her life, and later she spent 20 years as postal clerk at the Petrolia Post Office. Visitors will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia where a funeral service will be held Friday, January 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Hillsdale Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or Lambton Meadowview Villa Auxiliary. Memories and condolences may be shared on-line www.needhamjay.com.
