Alexander Gader
GADER: Alexander Feisal age 78 of Swift Current, SK and formerly of McMahon, SK passed away on November 2, 2017 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The funeral service was held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the First United Church with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. The pianist was Roxane Funk, the eulogy was read by his children: Connie Wanner, Michele Cassidy and Charles Gader. Ushers were Wendell Klassen, John Klassen, Hennan Wiebe and Tricia Noble. Pallbearers were Ryan Dyck, Tyson Gader, Brandon Wanner, Gary
Gader, Tracy Hesla and George Willatt. The interment service was held at Mount Pleasant Burial Park in Swift Current, SK. Alec is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Lila; daughter Connie Wanner (Mark) and her children Lindsay Wanner (Chris Harris), their son Cody Harris, and Brandon Wanner; daughter Michele Cassidy (Shawn) and their children Ryan Dyck (Jelena) and Brittney Schultz (Jesse) and their son Ryker; son Charles Gader (Brandon Tooke) and his daughters Brooklyn and Mackinley Gader; brother Alvin Gader (Betty); sister Shirley Hesla (Gordon); sister-in-law Louise Gader; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Alec is predeceased by his parents Mohammed and Lillie Gader; brother Raymond Gader, sister Faye Finlay and sister Judy Gader; grandparents Charlie and Shrefey Gader and High and Evelyn Zeer; parents-in-law Sam and Johanna Juma; siblings-in-law Marion and Ham Allie, Martha and Fred Crowder and Kalled Juma; and numerous other extended family members. Alec was born on June 30, 1939 in McMahon, SK and attended school in McMahon. Alec was united in marriage to Lila Juma on September 22, 1961 in Stanley, North Dakota. He was a farmer for 50 plus years. Alec was involved with many boards and clubs including: Telephone Board, Wheat Pool Committee, Community Club President, McMahon Co-op Board, and the McMahon Ball Club, coaching the Wymark girls ball team, Chairman of McMahon Rail Retention Committee, Councilor of the R.M. of Coulee #136, Swift Current Hospital Board, Rural Crime Watch, 911
Large Board Member, Swift Current Curling Club Executive, and the Swift Current Health District Board. He worked with MLA, Reg Gross on different programs and helped him campaign in several elections. He trained with the Canadian Army as Militiaman in Rescue Operations. Alec enjoyed curling, fastball, golfing, fishing, snowmobiling and cheering on the Swift Current Broncos, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Toronto Blue Jays, and Toronto Maple Leafs. Alec was especially interested in flying, and had his pilot license and own airplane. After his health declined and he could no longer fly the real airplanes, he transitioned to remote controlled helicopters. He always enjoyed his morning outings for breakfast with his loving wife Lila and friends and family that would join them. Alec was a very kind, generous and loving father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
