Brombal, Alessandro
Passed away peacefully at Guelph General Hospital on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of 56 years to Annamaria (nee Fattoruso).
Caring father of Bruno (Donna Kerr), Sandra (Asmus Georgi) and Laura (Peter Boyle). Proud Nonno of 5 grandchildren; Daniel, Elena, Julia, Matthew and Nicole.
Alessandro will be sadly missed by siblings Gino (Mariarosa), Angelina (Joe Zamprogna), Fausto (Valeria) and Sidonio (Geraldine) He leaves behind aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Canada, Italy and Australia.
His family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph on Saturday, November 4, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2-4 p.m. A vigil for Alessandro will commence Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk St., Guelph on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10:00 o’clock with interment at Marymount Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Kidney Foundation would be graciously accepted in Alessandro’s memory. Cards are available at the funeral home, 519-821-5077 and condolences can be left at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses on the 4th and 5th floors of the Guelph General Hospital, as well as to Dr. Darin Treleaven and his nephrology team at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton. Alessandro was very thankful for the ultimate gift he received from an anonymous kidney donor that extended and improved his quality of life, allowing him to enjoy many more years with family and friends.
