Obituary of Alda Thompson
THOMPSON- Alda Mary (nee Bedard) of Port Colborne passed away at the Welland County General Hospital on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late William R. Thompson (2011), loving mother of the late Elaine Thompson (2017), survived by Gary (Angie) Thompson of Niagara Falls, Sandra Thompson of Welland, Michelle Thompson (George) and Kim (Chris) Eros all of Port Colborne, dear grandmother of 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, sister of Yvonne (Bob) Reid, Gloria (Paul) Cote, Mary (Bruce) Cote and Lillian Bedard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her parents Alde and Aurore Bedard, and her siblings Priscilla Royer, Virginia Marcotte, Roy Bedard, Avite Bedard and Rachel Deslandes. Mrs. Thompson’s family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday, December 2, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the Davidson Chapel. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Woodlands of Sunset Day Program.
