Edwards, Allan K. (Al)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the age of 66.
Beloved husband of Brigitte for 31 years.
Loving father of Steven Edwards and step-father of Tammy Meagher (Chris) and David Mehr. Dear grandfather of Jack.
Al is survived by his father Don Edwards, his sister’s Nancy McMullen (Mike) and Harriet Rennie (John) and brother Paul Edwards (Debbie).
Dear son-in-law John and Veronika Szierer and brother-in-law of Monika Witt (Dana).
Al will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Al’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, December 23, 2017 from 2-5 pm at Conestoga Place, 110 Manitou Drive, Kitchener. Memories will be shared at 3 pm.
Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation – Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467).
Special thanks to Dr. Knight and nurse Christine and all the nurses and staff at the Cancer Centre, Chemo Suite and 6th floor Oncology Department at Grand River Hospital for all their loving care, especially over these last 23 days.
