1930-2017
At Hospice House, Fredericton, NB on
February 16, 2017, Adelaide V. (Baker) Henderson of Fredericton passed
away at the age of 86. Born in Grand Falls NB, she was a daughter of
the late Patrick and Velma (Moran) Baker.
Catholic by faith and a member of
Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church in Riverview, Adelaide
was a retired Registered Nurse, class of 1951, having worked in Saint
John and Moncton. She received her training at St. Joseph’s
Hospital in Saint John and was also a member of the Moncton Hospital
Nurses Auxiliary.
She is survived by one daughter Nancy
Boudreau of Elginburg, Ontario, one son Peter and his wife Cathleen
Henderson of Dunnville, Ontario, 8 grandchildren, Kelly, Katlin,
Tyson, Nicholas, Lindsay, Mark, Brent and Joel; three
great-grandchildren, son-in-law Michael Cooke of Fredericton, NB, two
sisters Marilyn Their of Syracuse, NY and Jacqueline Baker of Toronto,
Ontario, one brother Clayton Moran of New Minas, NS., several nieces
and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband Gerald
“Jerry” A. Henderson, a daughter Patricia Cooke,
five sisters Phyllis Baker, Margaret Kelly, Virginia Robichaud, Reta
Adams and Glenna Mountain as well as one brother
Lawrence.
Following cremation, a
memorial service will be held on Friday June 2, 2017 from
Bishop’s Funeral Home Chapel 540 Woodstock Road,
Fredericton, NB at 11:00 AM. Private interment will take place in the
Alderwood Cemetery, Riverview NB.
For those who wish, in lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to Hospice House, Fredericton, NB as requested
by the family.
