Obituary of Ada Stockley
Ada was born in Peterview on April 9, 1926, to William and Rosebelle Burt. On November 26, 1941, she married Melvin Stockley. She was a loving, devoted wife and mother. Ada spent several years in the LOBA Lodge in Botwood and a number of years with the Peterview Home League. She was predeceased by her son Lawrence in 1965 and her son-in-law John in 2011. She leaves to mourn her sons Sterling (Pauline), Melvin (Marion); four daughters Loretta, Linda (Bill), Fronie (Cecil), Sheila (Winston); eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Duane and Doreen Colbourne will conduct the funeral service from the Salvation Army Citadel, Peterview, on Saturday, December 1, 2017. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Botwood. Pallbearers will be Jamie, Cecil, Winston and Matthew Vineham, Cory Murry and Melvin Stockley.
