Obituary for Abram Schellenberg
Abram Schellenberg passed away on August 19, 2017 at Charleswood Personal Care Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He was born March 20, 1933 to Peter and Justina Schellenberg of Kane, Manitoba. He grew up in the Lowe Farm area where he attended school and then at an early
age worked on the farm for Anton Dyck.
Abe was baptized and married to Tina Wall on July 8, 1956. They lived in many different places. During their 27 years of marriage they became parents to sons Edward and Garry. Abe worked as a cement truck driver, farmer and eventually settled into the occupation of foreman for Triple E in Winkler, MB.
On September 14, 1985 Abe was married to Susan Klassen of Winnipeg. They lived in Winnipeg for 32 years enjoying each others company during their retirement years.
Abe is survived by his wife Susan Schellenberg nee Klassen, his son Garry (Cherie) Schellenberg, daughter-in-law Anna Hoath as well as grandchildren Joelene (Rob) Olson, Jaclyn (Greg) Ramsden, Jenessa (Dave) Toews, Jaimeson (Kyla) Schellenberg, Jilleanna (Jamie) Olson, Aila (Josh) Kellert, Nicholas Schellenberg and David Schellenberg. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Gertie Logan.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Tina Schellenberg nee Wall in 1984, his son Edward Schellenberg in 1997 and his brother Peter Schellenberg.
