Obituary for Aase Goeders
Aase Goeders
1920 – 2017
It is with immeasurable sadness that we announce Aase Goeders, age 96, passed away on Friday, December 8, 2017 at East Kootenay Regional Hospital in Cranbrook, BC. She was born in Aalborg, Denmark on December 27, 1920, the oldest of 3 children. She immigrated to Canada in 1955 where she met her husband Rudy Goeders in 1958. They made their home in the Kooteneys and have been a part of the Wasa and Ta Ta Creek community for the past 48 years. Aase was preceded by her husband Rudy Goeders in May of 2014.
Aase was a warm, loving, positive woman and she will be dearly missed by her two daughters Inger (Evald) and Kirsten (Sam), as well as her 5 grandchildren Mario (Christina), Jenny, Jimmy (Chrissy), Michael and Sal, and her 4 great-grandchildren Marina (Quinn), Carmela, Daniela and Leo, as well as extended family and friends in Canada, Denmark, and Germany. The family wishes to thank Dr. R. A. Nash and all of her caring friends for their kindness and compassion shown to Aase over the past few years.
As per Aase’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a small family gathering in the spring of 2018.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you, I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubles and do not be afraid.” John 14: 27
