A Selena Dean – 1941-2017

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of A.
Selena Dean of Fredericton, NB, formerly of Burin, Newfoundland. She
passed away in Fredericton on August 24, 2017. Born in Jacques
Fontaine, NFLD, she was the wife of the late George Dean and daughter
of the late Abraham and Mary Johnson.
Selena is survived by her two sons, Gary (Alicia) and Daryl
(Lynne); grandchildren, Jamie Johansen, Emily and James Dean; sisters,
Patricia Tessier (Gaetan) and Mary Bungay (Don); brothers, Charlie
(Judy), Frank (Marion), Abraham (Wanda), and Dave Johnson; special
cousin, Margaret Rose; special aunt, Alphonse Sweeney; special friend;
and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. In addition
to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her son, James, and
infant brother and sister, Stanley and Laura.
There will no be visitation by request. A celebration of
Selena’s life will take place at St. Margaret’s
Anglican Church on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at 2:00pm with Rev. Rick
Robinson officiating. Interment will take place in North
Harbour, Newfoundland at a later date.
Donations can be made to the charity of the donor’s
choice.
