Obituary for Eugenio Coletta (Coletta)
COLETTA, Eugenio (December 29, 1929 – December 29, 2017)
Having moved to Canada in 1960 from his hometown in Italy, Eugenio devoted his life to loving, caring, and providing for his family. He passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto on his 88th birthday surrounded by his family while listening to his favourite Italian songs. Beloved husband of Anna (nee Grande) for 58 years. Devoted father of Rosa (Daryl) MacLellan, and John (Mary). Cherished Nonno of Anna-Melissa (Josh), Victoria, Marissa, Karinna, and Jenna, and great-grandfather of Penelope. Dear brother of Corrado (Agripina), Assunta (Orlando), Raffaele (Evelina), Michele (Genarina), Ernesto (Maddalena), and predeceased by brothers Antonio (Eufemia), Vincenzo (Isabella), and sisters Anna (Ennio), Giulia (Armando). Eugenio will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Visitation at Bernardo Funeral Home Ltd. 2960 Dufferin St. two streets south of Lawrence Ave. on Tuesday January 2, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. Mass of Resurrection celebrated on Wednesday January 3, 2018 at 10:30 am at Blessed Sacrament Church (24 Cheritan Ave, Toronto) Yonge Street south of Lawrence Ave. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery (5830 Bathurst Street, north of Finch Ave.)
