It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward Ell, on the morning of Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at the age of 86 years. Edward was predeceased by his loving wife, Ella, in 2015. He was the cherished father of Darlene (Richard) Bauer, Debbie (Dennis) Sheen, Trish (Merlyn) Patrick, Roy (Lynda) Ell, Karalynn (Rob) Shields, Leanne (Ron) Townsend, and David (Nicole) Ell. He was very proud of his grandchildren Jessica Ell; Jonathan, Amy and William Bauer; Ashton, Breanna and Barrett Sheen; Curtis and Mitchell Patrick; Caileah, Joey, Nicky and Benjamin Ell; Emma, Robyn and Brett Shields; Ty Chabillon, Kaitie Roshuk, and Gracie Townsend; and Ethan Ell. He will be fondly remembered by his surviving brother and sister-in-law Philip and Josephine Ell; sister-in-law Josephine Bruch, and countless nieces and nephews. Edward worked hard in life to provide for his family, and always had time to help out extended family members when they needed him. His sense of humor will be missed by anyone who had the privilege of being part of his life. Edward had great faith and passed with peace into the arms of Jesus. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Edward’s life at Prayers at St Paul’s Catholic Church (1305 Main Street, Airdrie, AB) on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Paul’s Catholic Church (1305 Main Street, Airdrie, AB) on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Reception to follow in the church hall. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Edward’s family through www.evanjstrong.com.
