Obituary for Mr. Vincenzo “Vince” Sacino
VINCENZO SACINO
It is with deep sorrow that the family of Vincenzo Sacino announce his peaceful passing on Wednesday, December 19, 2017 in his 92nd year, at St. Joseph’s Care Group with his family by his side.
Vincenzo was born February 15, 1925 in Ruvo del Monte, Italy. He came to Fort William with his young bride, Carmela. Together they lived a healthy and vibrant life raising their two children.
Vince worked hard to provide a better life for his wife and family. His working days were well spent at local grain elevators. In the early years of their life together, Vince and Carmela travelled to Italy, Mexico, Hawaii and beyond.
You would often find Vince peacefully relaxing in his pristine backyard oasis, thoughtfully enjoying fresh air and warm weather.
Vince is survived by his wife, Carmela (nee Galella); sons Giuseppe (Cheryl) and Donato; grandchildren Joseph, Tana-Leigh (Allan) Harty and great-grandchildren Lux-Leigh and London. He is also survived by his brothers Pasquale (Josie), Geraldo (Liz) and sister Lucia in Italy as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
In respect of Vince’s wishes, a private family service and interment will be held in the family plot at Mountainview Cemetery. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
