Edward James Holland, our beloved husband, brother, and uncle, passed away suddenly on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 53 years. Edward is survived by his devoted and loving wife Cristal Holland; his sister Diane Tallack (Doug); his brother Robert Holland; his nieces Charlene White and Catherine White; nephew Gorra Karl Jax (Stephanie), and his adoring great neices and nephews, Elijah, Maryka, Joseph, and Mason Schubert Dashiell and Kalina Jax. Edward is predeceased by his mother Margaret Fagan Holland and his father James Holland. Edward worked as a driller blaster in the BC mountains for many years, then was a chef. Edward loved his current job being an aid to children with disibilities. His kindness, quiet strength and humor made him perfect for the job. Edward was born in Halifax Nova Scotia and his early years were spent at the Navy Base, Shannon Park, Dartmouth Nova Scotia. At age 5 Edward and his family embarked on an adventure moving from Halifax, Nova Scotia, all the way across the country to Terrace, BC. Edward and the family embraced the beauty of the mountains, and lived for their frequent impromptu road trips, camping, picking exotic mushrooms for the Asian market and salmon fishing trip. Edward became a talented photographer, taking professional style photographs of the nature that surrounded him, such as eagles, salmon, bears, and the northern lights to name a few. Of course, after he met Cristal she was his muse, he took many beautiful pictures of her as they lived a very happy urban life in Calgary. Memorial Service will be held for Edward in the months ahead. Our family is devastated by the loss of our kind, funny, strong and loving Edward. Arrangements in care of EVAN J.
