In Loving Memory
Cecil Edward Oderkirk, beloved husband of Avelina Oderkirk of Calgary, passed away at the Foothills Hospital on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at the age of 83 years.
Cecil was the loving Dad of Valerie (Bruce), Kevin, and Philip (Mercy) and loving Grandfather to his grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Audrey Drake and Susie Ripley as well as numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family and dear friends around the world. Cecil was predeceased by his parents Frederick and Lydia Rose Oderkirk; his brothers: Max, Mel, Harvey, and William; and his sisters: Gladys Stevens, Marjorie Christie, and Mona Lloy.
Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at the Prairie View Chapel, Mountain View Funeral Home (1605 100 Street SE, Calgary) on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Dennis Catholic Church (4718 Worcester Drive SW, Calgary) on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held in the Garden of the Good Shepherd, Mountain View Memorial Gardens followed by a reception in the Arbor Lounge of Mountain View Funeral Home.
