It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of a wonderful man, Richard Dennis Pierce, aged 65. Rick passed peacefully, surrounded by his family at Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga on Thursday,
December 7, 2017. Rick was a remarkably caring and loving spouse, father and grandfather with a great sense of humor and a passion for sports and history. He was friendly, kind and thoughtful to all. Rick is survived by his loving spouse, soulmate and best friend of 27 years Lorri Steckley (Wolfe), cherished and deeply loved by his children Ryan (Lindsay) and Erin (Kirk), grandchildren Ryley, Liam and Bennett Pierce, father in-law Robert Wolfe and sister in-law Carolyn Dietrich (Bob). Rick is also survived by brothers Ron (Ruth Ann), Wayne, his sister Sheila Aris and several nieces and nephews. He will also be dearly missed by his manyclose friends. Rick was predeceased by his parents Elwin (1987) and Alice (2004).
After the service a celebration of Rick’s life will be held at Rick’s favourite venue, Fred’s Bar and Grill, 636 Bloor St., E. Mississauga, On L5A 1Z8. Private interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, those who desire can make a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society.
