ORR, Edward William – Born Aug 10, 1937, Brampton ON. Passed away peacefully with family on Dec 03, 2017 in Nanaimo, BC.
Predeceased by his brother Jack and sister Deborah. Ed will forever be in the hearts and thoughts of his wife of 59 years, Claire. Children: Kimberly (Randy) grandchildren Melanie and Danielle; Michael (Debbie) grandchildren Stephanie and great grandchild Dominic, Francis and Maria; Christine with grandchildren Wes (Amy) great grandchildren Mia and Mason, Avery; Edward and Luisa as well as brother David and Sister Connie.
Ed was a proud member of both the Rotary and the Knights of Columbus in Courtenay.
Ed married Claire on October 25, 1958 in Shawinigan, Quebec. They lived in Ontario until 1974 when they moved to Richmond, BC with all five children.
Ed worked for Canada Post for 34 years, starting in Toronto, Vancouver and retired in 1991 as the last Post Master in Courtenay, BC
As the Post Master Ed used to ensure all letters to Santa were answered and when closer to Christmas he would hand deliver to each child in the Comox Valley, BC.
There will be a private gathering for family in the near future. If you wish to
