Obituary Overview
Gordana Berbic
After a long battle with cancer, Gordana Berbic passed away on November 30, 2017 in Red Deer, AB at the age of 58. She leaves behind her husband, Goran Berbic; her daughter Sandra (Amir) Suljanovic; her son Sasa (Angela) Berbic and grandchildren Sani, Boris, Ema, Naja and Lana. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
Gordana was born on April 13, 1959 in Tuzla, BiH, to father Blasko Mitrovic and mother Mara Mitrovic, who predeceased her. She grew up in a large, loving family with sister Vesna Mitrovic, brothers Mato, Ivica and Nenad Mitrovic. Her in law family Berbic, Osmancevic, Milojkovic, Hasanovic, Rahmanovic and Agic loved her very much and are saddened by her loss.
Gordana married her school mate Goran Berbic in June of 1978 shortly after graduating from high school. They had two children and lived in a beautiful country of Bosnia and Hercegovina. They moved to Canada in 1995 to pursue a better life for their children following a war in the country of their residence.
Gordana’s last wish was to be cremated and be remembered as fun loving person, who liked to sing, dance and travel. A reception will be at Red Deer funeral Home and Crematorium, Thursday December 7, 2017 at 1:00p.m.; In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Gordana.
