Obituary for Stan Marshall
MARSHALL, J. Stan – Passed away at his home on Tuesday November 28, 2017. John Stanley “Stan” Marshall of RR# 1, Innerkip in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Mildred “Millie” A. (nee Hastie-McComb) Marshall and the late Mary Elaine (nee West) Marshall (2003). Loving father of Don (Joyce) Marshall, Joan (Barry) Malcolm, Mark (Cheryl) Marshall, Bryan (Shelley) Marshall and step father to Les (Joe-Ann) McComb and Charlotte (Dave) Martz. Dear father-in-law to Judy Marshall. Cherished grandfather of twenty three grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. Brother-in-law to Jack West and Eleanor Triemstra. Predeceased by his son Gord Marshall (2003). Stan was a past Steward and Trustee for Innerkip United Church, had prize winning herds of Guernsey and Jersey cattle, was twice past President of the Canadian Guernsey Association, long time 4H Leader, past Chair of Oxford Co-Op Board, was a past Chairman of the Sire Committee of Western Ontario Breeders and was a judge for many cattle competitions including the Australian and England Spring shows. Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at Brock and Visser Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock (519-539-0004), on Friday, December 1st, 2017 from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held in the chapel at the funeral home on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Pastor Doug Anderson officiating.
