Obituary for John Henry Archibald Fisher
Fisher, John Henry Archibald – age 75, Central Onslow, passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on November 26th, 2017. Born in Dean on May 1st, 1942, he was a son of the late Christopher and Emily (Dean) Fisher. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Diane (Green); daughter, Heather Maxwell at home; son Christopher (Jennifer), Truro Heights; grandchildren Alicia, Andrew, and Mikaela Maxwell, and Evan and Olivia Fisher; sisters, Penny (Frank) Pettipas, New Glasgow; Ferne (Matt) Miles, Dartmouth; Emily Dunbar, Oxford; sisters-in-law Jean Fisher, Upper Musquodoboit; Carol Fisher, Dartmouth; Ellen Fisher, New Brunswick. He was predeceased by brothers, Albert, David, Roy, Ralph, Art, Lewis, and Duncan; sisters, Margaret and Blanche; special cousin Ethel Hawes. At John’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be at a later date in Onslow Island Cemetery, Central Onslow. Donations in his memory may be made to the Colchester Branch SPCA or charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro.
