Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory of Nayda Geddes
Geddes, Nayda Pearl, passed away at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home on November 16, 2017 in her 100th year.
Born in Stilesville, NB on May 16, 1918, she was the youngest child of the late Frank and Amelia Briggs. Nayda will be sadly missed by her daughter Catherine and sons Eldon and Boyd as well as grandchildren, Troy, Scott and Dienna Randall, Mark and Nadine Geddes, Tracy Hale and Jennifer Brewer, great grandchildren Jared and Shawn Randall, Britney and Taylor Geddes, Lauren and Chelsea Hale, Costos Palikaras, Noah Brewer, and her cousins, several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and siblings, Nayda was predeceased by her husband, Willard.
Nayda worked for many years for Magnetic Hill Gift Shop, first in a sales position and later as supervisor and buyer, which required her to travel regularly. After her retirement in 1982, she enjoyed spending her summers at the cottage with her grandchildren, traveling for pleasure and visits with family members, and playing cards with friends. On winter evenings she relaxed by knitting mittens and caps for grandchildren and to donate to Moncton Headstart.
The family would like to thank the caring staff at The Kenneth E. Spencer Memorial Home.
At Nayda’s request there will be no public visitation or funeral service. Interment will be at Fair Haven Cemetery at a later date.
