Laura Babineau
1921-2017
RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Laura Babineau,
96 and a half years, of Foyer P’tit Chenous, Ste-Anne,
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, Ste-Anne
on Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Born in Richibouctou-Village, she was
the daughter of the late Hector and Lise (LeBlanc) Babineau. Before
retiring, Laura worked at the Richibouctou-Village Coop for 25 years.
She was a member of the Richibouctou-Village Club d’Age
d’Or.
Laura will be sadly missed by her two sisters-in-law,
Colombe Babineau (late Gerard) of Moncton and Jeanne Babineau (late
Leopold) of Richibouctou-Village; as well as by several generations of
nieces, nephews and cousins.
The last surviving member of her immediate family,
Laura is predeceased by her parents; her sister, Maria; and her seven
brothers, Alcide, Gerard, Aurele, Henri, Ernest, Zoël and
Leopold.
Visitation will be held at the St-Antoine-de-Padoue
slumber room on Thursday, from 7:00-9:00pm and Friday from 9:00am
until time of funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday,
November 24th, 2017 at 11:30am. Donations
in Laura’s memory made to the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital
Palliative Care Unit would be appreciated by the
family.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to
all the doctors and staff at the Stella Maris de Kent Hospital, as
well as the staff at the Foyer P’tit Chenous for all the
excellent care that was provided to
Laura.
