Malcolm Hollins Sr.
1924-2017
Following a brief illness, Malcolm “Mac” Hollins Sr. of
Arthurette, NB, passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu St. Joseph
Hospital on November 17, 2017. Mac had been a resident of the Victoria
Glen Manor since June of this year.
Mac was born in Arthurette, NB, on September 16, 1924. He was the son
of the late Clyde and Mary (McKellar) Hollins. Mac leaves behind his
wife, Noella Hollins (Michaud); his daughter, Natalie Hollins-Taylor
(Danny Taylor) of Red Rapids, NB; his sons, Malcolm “Clint”
Hollins Jr. (Marilyn Morrison) of Arthurette, NB, Paul Hollins (Sharon
Murray) of Fredericton, NB, Blake Hollins of Arthurette, NB; 8
grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; along with many nieces and
nephews.
Mac was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Doris Tomlinson; his
brothers, Donald, James, and William “Billy” Hollins.
Mac was a veteran of the Second World War and a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion, Branch #85. Mac enjoyed many actives in his younger
years, such as baseball, fishing, and hunting. He was also an avid
Toronto Blue Jays fan.
Funeral arrangements remain to be confirmed and will be announced once
they become available.
