It is with great sadness that the family of the late Calvin Linthorne announce his passing at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital , Stephenville on Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 at the age of 69 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories is his wife, Patricia; son and best friend Shawn (Lindsay) of Baden, Ontario; grandchildren: Charlize, Calvin and Benjamin; two sisters: Lillian (Phonse) Carroll of St. George’s, Joan (Ed) Fost of St. George’s; two brothers-in-law: Joe (Rosa) Dollard of Stephenville, Jim Dollard of St. George’s; sisters-in-law Marie (Ben) of Corner Brook, Tela Dollard of St. George’s, Kay Dollard of Stephenville Crossing, Sue (Ed) Hickey of St. John’s; special niece Angela ( Theodore) Bennett of St. George’s; lifelong friends Hughie and Liz McLean, special guardian Tanya Colombe Messervey and a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Bridget, sister Marion Colombe and infant brothers Chesley and Gregory. Funeral service will take place on Friday, November 17th, 2017 at 10am at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church in St. George’s. In Calvin’s memory,donations may be made to the Bay St. George Sick Children’s Foundation or to SCAPA. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
