Life Legacy
LIOCE, Giuseppe ‘Joseph’ – Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Tuesday November 14, 2017 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of 62 years to Paolina (Guerrieri) Lioce. Dearly loved father of Joanne (Enrico) DiRisio, Anthony Lioce, Mary Paolone and Anna Lioce. Cherished Nonno of Adrianna (Frank) Ungaro, Enrico DiRisio Jr., Austina Paolone (Dustin), Daniel, Joseph, Paolina, Alex, Christopher and Catherine Lioce and great-grandfather of Margot Ungaro. Predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters in Italy. Lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Lioce had worked in the Forestry division of Ontario Hydro, retiring after 37 years of service. In his retirement he enjoyed working with his son in the landscaping business until he was 85 years old. He had a passion for gardening and a great love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to call at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. visiting Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 2 pm at St. Ann’s Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Fairview Cemetery. In memory of Mr. Lioce, donations to The Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by his family.
