Obituary Overview
Forever In Our Hearts
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gladys Evelyn McEachen on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at the age of 92.
She went peacefully with family by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Alex McEachen; parents Ralph and Ida Townsend; brothers Gilbert and Art (Mick) Townsend; and sister Doreen Duplesis.
Gladys is survived by her daughter Gladys Castle (Verne); grandchildren Donna Landega and Kyle Wasmann; their father John Wasmann; great-grandchildren Josh Gerlach, and Cohen and Abdeta Landega; sister Marie Morrison; as well as nieces and nephews. Gladys was born in Davidson, SK, and grew up in Bladworth, SK until she was 16 and moved to Regina, SK.
Gladys attended St. Matthew’s Anglican -Church for 70 years. As a long-time member she served as Treasurer of ACW for many years, served on vestry and as warden, envelope secretary, alter guild, and Sunday school teacher.
Gladys was an avid Saskatchewan Rough Rider fan and a season ticket holder for 34 years. She loved all sports, when younger as a participant and when she was older as a spectator. She always had a welcoming smile on her face when around family and friends. Thank you to the amazing doctors and staff of ward 5E at the Regina General Hospital.
