Jones, Hazel Esther (Peg Cheetham) (nee Weston) World War II Veteran
On November 12, 2017, unexpectedly at home in her 94th year. Beloved wife of the the late Carman Jones and predeceased by her parents Charles and Esther Weston. Survived by her brother Bruce Weston (Edith) of Brockville, predeceased by siblings Arthur Weston, Julia Wescome and Mable Charlton. She leaves behind her daughter Darlene Thompson and predeceased by daughters Donna Cheetham, Barbara Desjardins, Jane Smalbill and son in-law Gerald Thompson. Loved by grandchildren Karla Macdonald (Mike), Andre Desjardins (Sandi), Marc Desjardins (Sherry) Ottawa, Blake Jones Oshawa and Nancy Bates (Glen) and Michael Thompson (Kim) Vancouver. Sadly missed by great grandchildren Logan, Emma, Owen, Emily, Grace, Kayleigh. Grandma and Nana Peg to so many others. She was loved by so many and will be truly missed. Aquamation has already taken place at the Wartman Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Westbrook United Church (3526 Princess St. Westbrook) from 11 am to 1 pm with Service at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at Glenhaven Memorial Gardens. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations by cheque to Kingston Food Bank or Westbrook United Church would be appreciated by the family.
