Death Notice
On November 12, 2017, William “Bill” Scott of Sarnia, beloved husband of Judith (nee Beattie) of Quebec, died peacefully at Bluewater Health- Palliative Care. Bill was the dearly loved father of Richard Marlowe of Burk’s Falls, Meredith Anne of Sarnia, and William Randall and his wife Silvia Patricia of London. He was the dear brother of the late Walter and of Betty Scott Wentworth of Minneapolis. He is also survived by his loving brother-in-law, Peter Beattie of Quebec.
Bill spent 33 years of his life sharing the magic of numbers with his secondary school students. A farmer at heart, he also loved nature, camping, and travel. For many years he volunteered at the Inn of the Good Shepherd Food Bank, driving cancer patients to London, and friendly visiting with seniors. A staunch supporter of Blackwell United Church until it closed, Bill found a new church home at Grace United. He also supported Lambton Wildlife Inc. in many ways.
Bill has donated his body to Medical Science.
Visitation
Visitation being held from 10:30 a.m. to service time at noon.
Service
A memorial service, officiated by Rev. Brad Morrison, will be held at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 12:00 p.m.
Donations
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospice or to the charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please).
