MURPHY, Bernard (Bern) (Formerly of Bell Island) – Passed peacefully away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 surrounded by his loving family, Bernard Murphy, aged 69. Predeceased by his parents Bernard and Laura, brother Kevin and sister Margaret. Left with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Cynthia; daughters Shawna (Dan Noel) and Bernadette; cherished grandchildren Kristopher and Jordan; brothers Leo (Beverly), William (Kay); Gordon (Marilyn) and Gerald (Joslyn); sisters Shirley (Gord Stoyles, deceased), Laura (Wayne Parsons), Jean (Wayne Peddle), Joan (Les Howey), Pamela and Sheila (Bobby Sweeney); brothers-in-law Stan Squires (Cynthia); Clayton Squires (Ethel), Ron Squires (Linda); sisters-in-law Ruth Connolly (Joe), Dorothy Squires, Marion Squires (Curtis, deceased) and Winnie (Kevin Pope). Along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many special friends. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Monday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. from Caul’s Chapel on Monday, November 13, 2017. No flowers by request of the family. Donations may be made in his memory to the Salvation Army.
