Obituary for Frank E. Phillips
Peacefully at Seaforth Long Term Care Home, Frank Edward Phillips passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. In his 94 years among us, Frank was a vibrant presence within his family and our community. Frank served his country during World War 2 as part of the R.C.A.F. As a professional photographer, Frank captured countless wedding vows, family gatherings and community events on film, leaving behind a legacy of photographic memories for generations to come.
Frank will be lovingly remembered by his children Beverly Jeffery of Vancouver B.C., Michael of Saskatchewan, Brian (Linda) of Stratford, Nanci (Steven) of Port Alberni B.C. and Gary (Rita) of Wainwright AB., along with his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Marjorie (nee Oliphant 2008), son Robin (2001), his parents Thomas and Maria (nee Renna) and his siblings Tony, Angelo, Bessie Scalisi and Frances in infancy.
Honouring Frank’s wishes cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will take place on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 7 to 9 p.m. at McGlynn Family Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth (519-527-1390) preceded by a Legion service at 6:30 p.m. A memorial service to celebrate Frank’s life will be held on Saturday, December 16, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A reception will follow at Branch 156 Seaforth Legion, 123 Main Street, Seaforth. Interment will take place at a later date at Maitlandbank Cemetery.
