Obituary of Ursulina Stepan
December 23, 1934 – New Glasgow, Nova Scotia
November 5, 2017 – Regina, Saskatchewan
Ursy Stepan, beloved wife of Ed, passed away peacefully in Regina surrounded by family on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the age of 82 years. She was born and raised in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. She worked as a nurse when first married, but was best known for being an artist. Ursy earned a BFA in printmaking from the University of Regina in 1980 and was the Printmaker-in-Residence and an instructor at the Neil Balkwill Civic Art Centre in Regina for many years. Ursy’s art was included in solo and group exhibitions and is part of numerous collections across the country. She loved art and literature and was always creating. Also central throughout her life was family. Ursy will be dearly missed by her husband Ed; her sons Ken (Shelley), David (Jody) and Bob (Dawn); her grandsons Nevin, Torin and Matt; her granddaughters Mackenzie and Kieran; sisters Bernadette and Doris; and her brother Charlie. She received kind treatment from the MICU staff at the Regina General Hospital and her family would like to acknowledge this care. If family and friends so desire, donations may be made, in memoriam, to the Canadian Lung Association or the charity of choice. The Celebration of Ursy’s Life will take place at a later date.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Ursulina
