Loving husband of Margaret “Marg” (nee Mac Vittie) Konopelky. Survived by son David (Cheryle). Cherished grandfather of Kyle. Dear son of Michael and Laurette Konopelky
y both predeceased. Dear brother of Robert (Maureen), Lauranne (David McIntyre), Michael (Joanne), Dianne (Richard MacDonald) and Timothy (Wendy). Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
Born in Cochrane, Roger spent 32 years with the Sudbury Board of Education. He was a dedicated teacher, devoted to his students and continued to tutor students into his retirement. He had a great passion for sports, both playing and watching. He enjoyed skiing, biking, horseracing, basketball, baseball, watching football with his son or his lightning speed on the hockey rink. Roger was always up for a debate. He gave very useful advice and will be especially remembered for his kind and giving heart. The family would like to thank the staff at Health Sciences North in the ICU and the Heart and Stroke Units for their great care.
