Jones, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” – peacefully at Hastings Manor on Thursday, November 2, 2017 in her 89th year. Daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Pigden. Loving mother of Peter (Theresa) Jones of Pennsylvania, Maribeth (Don) Marston of Belleville, Ted Jones, Doug Jones both of Belleville and Judy Brant of Deseronto. Cherished grandmother of Nicole and Emily Brant, Tom Marston and Kaitlin Jones and great grandmother of Ava Brant. Beloved sister of Monica (Ed) Freeman, Pat (Dave) Bruyea and Nancy (Ken) Lawless. Betty will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West (613-968-2273) on Sunday, November 5th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel on Monday, November 6th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation to follow with inurnment at St. James Cemetery. The family give special thanks to Fr. Richard Whalen for all his support during this difficult time. If desired, Memorial Donations to the St. Michael’s Church Capital Campaign would be appreciated by the family.
