With great sadness, we announce that on Oct 22, 2017, Marion Yeadon,
at the age of 79, has concluded her battle with Alzheimer’s and has
gone home to be with the Lord.
Born in Barrington Passage, she was the daughter of Arthur B. and Lola
M. (Nickerson) Grant.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Fred W. Yeadon,
Blockhouse; daughter, Anna (Barry) Wicks, Halifax; sons, Fred (Donna)
Yeadon, Lakeside and Jim Yeadon (Pauline Careen), St John’s, NFLD;
sister, Gene (Jackie) Spidle, Mahone Bay. She will be missed by her
grandchildren, Jeff, Tyler, Nicole, Christina, Alexander, Marissa,
Holly and Aurie; great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Adrianna, Connor and
Alice, a long with many nieces and nephews.
Marion was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and friend. Her home was
always full of welcome guests. She served the Lord in many capacities
including her jobs with Halifax School Board, Mahone Funeral Home and
at her church.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the doctors and
nurses on the fourth floor of South Shore Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be at Mahone Funeral Home, 7:00 to 9:00 pm, Wednesday,
October 25, 2017.
A funeral service will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, Oct 26 at Faith Baptist
Chapel, 11279 Highway #3, Centre (near Lunenburg).
Family flowers only, please. Memorial donations may be made in her
memory to the Alzheimer’s Society or charity of choice.
