Obituary of Lorna Allan
ALLAN, Lorna Sibbald (nee Cook, Pace)(1922-2017) – On Monday, October 23, 2017, at the Hamilton General Hospital, Lorna passed away peacefully surrounded by family.
Lorna grew up in Hamilton, but lived most of her life in Kitchener-Waterloo. An avid swimmer, water skier, golfer, and traveler, she lived a long and full life. She was employed with the K-W School Board at KCI and was a life-time member of Trinity United Church.
Lorna was a loving Mother to her son, Don Pace and his wife Lynda, her daughter, Pam Boutilier and her partner, Carol Dillman, and her step-daughters Liz Arnold and her husband, Dave, and Jane MacPherson and her husband, George.
She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Heather and her husband Jason, Caitlin, Lucas, Mark and his wife Laurie, and Marcy, as well as her step-grandchildren Jamie and his wife Jennifer, Jeff and his wife Courtney, Holly and Kenny, as well as her 9 great-grandchildren, her nieces, and grand-nephew and his family.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Lorna with her family during memorial visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Reception in the Kuntz House of the funeral home to follow. Cremation has taken place.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation Army, Trinity United Church, or a charity of your choice.
