Obituary of Tony Crncich
CRNCICH, Tony
Quietly passed away in the early morning with family close by his side on Wednesday, October 18, 2017. We celebrate 87 good years of a long and healthy life. Beloved husband and best friend of over 60 years of Joanne (nee Potvin) . Tony was well loved and honoured by his 6 children; Anne Marie Dunbar (Dave), Diane Padoin, Christine Crncich (Perry), Tony Crncich Jr. (Wendy), Kathy Meredith and Rob Crncich (Donna). He will be truly missed by his 19 grandchildren; Jason, (Rachel), Andrew (Sarah), Blair (Tausha), Sarah, Jenny, Paolo Jr., Dana, Nick, Jaime, Natalie, TJ, Taylor, Erin, Austin, Tana, Tasha, Kate, Ben, Lauren and his 3 great grandchildren Jake, Cali, Harrison. Special thank you to Deb Wieckowski (Jon) for your friendship and care. Tony started his career as a pharmacist in Windsor with partner Mahlon Dyer. Together they co-founded and built one of Ontario’s leading pharmacy chains, Big V Drug Stores. He sat on many boards and won numerous awards for his personal contributions in community and business.. Tony will be missed by his extended Big V family, Hunt Club friends, bridge clubs and other business associates. Visitors will be received at the John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, London on Friday from 2-5 and 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral Mass at St. George Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Saturday morning at 11 o’clock. Private family interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Cognitive Vitality and Brain Health, c/o St. Joseph Health Care Foundation.
