BROWN GUY WHITNEY Jr. On Friday, October 20th, 2017 Guy Whitney
Brown of Campobello Island passed away Peacefully at the Charlotte
County Hospital with his family by his side.
Guy was born at home in Wilson’s Beach on December 13th, 1932 . He is
the son of the late Guy Sr. & Melva (Searles) Brown. He married
the love of his life Leota June 6th, 1952.
Guy, a lifelong fisherman loved the sea and loved fishing. His
legacy will be the stories and memories he has shared with friends and
family during his almost 85 years.
• Survived by his wife of 65 years, Leota Sadie (Lomax)
and his 5 children, Burrell Brown , Elaine Eaton, Tammy (William)
Corn, Laurel (Donald) Matheson all of Campobello, and Gail (Jim)
Roberts of Whiting, ME, 7 grandchildren, Tracy (Darren) Hardy,
Darren (Amanda) Brown, Heather Cline, George Eaton, Jeffrey (Nicola)
Matheson, Christa (Denise) Matheson, Hunter, 10 great grandchildren,
Khalin, Kelsi, Kailey, Sarah, Ben, Cali, Brody, Wyatt, Julia and
Gabriel, 2 brothers Bill (Jessie) Brown and Manley (Brenda) Brown all
of Campobello, several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Guy was predeceased by 3 sisters Judy Newman, Alda Anthony and
Lillian MacIllroy.
Resting at Wilson’s Beach Baptist Church, from where the
service will be held on Tuesday, October 24th, 2017 at 2:00 pm. The
interment will immediately follow at Wilsons’s Beach Community
Cemetery, Head Harbour Road.
The family will receive friends at the church during a time of
visitation on Monday from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm only.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Wilson’s Beach
Cemetery Fund or to the Edith Lank Camp would be appreciated by the
