Obituary of Jean Inglis
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at Summit Place in Owen Sound, on Tuesday evening, October 17th, 2017. Donalda Jean Inglis (nee MacDonald), of Owen Sound, at the age of 94 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Douglas Inglis (2015) after 72 years of marriage. Loving mother of Mary Vivier, of Edmonton and Sylvia Taylor (Gary), of Ohio. Proud grandmother of Michael (Jeanette), Craig, Jonathan (Kimberly), Kristin (Jeff), Kimberly and great-grandmother of 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Predeceased by her parents, Malcolm and Florence MacDonald; her daughter, Margaret Inglis; her siblings, Alexandria McKinnon (Norman), Elspeth Yeatman (Julian), Ian MacDonald (Dorothy); her parents-in-law, Victor and Hazel Inglis; her sister-in-law, Marion Roger (James). Jean was a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed quilting, a cup of tea, walks around Inglis Falls where she and Doug lived for many years.
A Funeral Service for Jean Inglis will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Friday, October 20th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Dana Benson officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the charity of your choice as an expression of sympathy.
