Obituary for Betty Corabell Marshall
Betty Corabell Marshall died peacefully at Muskoka Landing in Huntsville on Friday, October 13th, 2017 in her 94th year. Betty was born in Bracebridge on May 16, 1924 to Dora and Stan English of Minett. Her younger brother, Murray English predeased her in 1968 as did her husband, William Marshall in 2011. Betty is survived by her two daughters: Christine Gilley (George) of Huntsville, Grace McKnight (Don) of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia and by one son John McKnight (Kate)of Sylvan Lake Ab. By grandsons Brent Gilley and his family in Guelph and Joshua McKnight and his son in Edmonton and granddaughter Tovah McKnight and her son also of Castor, Albert.
Betty loved people and will be best remembered for her gracious ability to bring a smile to the face of others while in service at Muskoka hotels, in nursing care and while volunteering.
A graveside service was held at Port Carling Cemetery in Port Carling on Monday, October 16th, 2017. As your expressions of sympathy memorial donations maybe to Alzheimer’s Society of Muskoka.
