Obituary of Olive Martin
Passed away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Tuesday, October 10, 2017, Olive Martin of Harbour Grace, age 92 years. Predeceased by son: Melvin; parents: Nicholas and Helen Parsons; sister: Gladys Thompson; daughter-in-law: Peggy Martin. Leaving to mourn, husband: Alexander; one daughter: Audrey (Jim) McDonald, CBS; four sons: Basil, Frank (Bertha), and Rick, all of Harbour Grace, and Terry, Cambridge, ON; nine grandchildren: Lisa, Tammy, Michelle, David, Corey, Jason, Chris, Michael, and Alex; a number of great-grandchildren; niece: Cindy Engel, New York, USA; caregiver: Karen Mansfield, Harbour Grace; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harbour Grace on Thursday, 7:30 to 9:00 p.m.; Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Saturday, October 14 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Inurnment to take place in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace on Monday, October 16 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1037 Topsail Road, Mount Pearl, NL, A1N 5E9.
