John Gerard Gatien, M.D.,F.R.C.P.(C) John passed away October 8, 2017, at home after a brief illness. Born in Saint John, NB on April 29, 1942, son of Mary Nealis and J. Marcel Gatien. He received his undergraduate degree at U.N.B. after which he attended Dalhousie Medical School, graduating in 1969. Five years residency training in Halifax, Montreal and Boston followed. He returned to Halifax to practice in Pediatric Allergy and Immunology. John participated in Travelling Clinics from Yarmouth to Sydney for over 30 years.
