Hazel Pearl Doherty
1932-2017
Hazel P. Doherty of Charters Settlement, NB passed away on October 11,
2017 at her home. Hazel was born at Gordonsville, Car. Co., NB in
1932, a daughter of the late Thomas and Wilza (Perkins) Morgan.
Hazel gave her heart to the Lord in 1960, and was faithful until she
went home to be with Him. She was an ordained clergy for many years
and an Honorary Board member of Emmanuel Fellowship Inc. Hazel was
employed for 26 years with Natural Resources at the Kingsclear
facility. She was an avid Nascar fan, enjoying time spent with her
son-in-law, watching the races.
She is survived by her children, Gary C. Doherty (Gail), Jeffery
Doherty (April Pike), Bethel Dorcas (Harold), Nathan Doherty (Nicole)
and Bethany Peterson (Kevin); grandchildren, Gary V. Doherty (Arlene),
Calli Agnew (Jamie), Troy Doherty (Laura), Michelle Prosser (Duane),
Mitchell Grant (Sophie Jacob), Travis Dorcas (Serena Fairley), Joshua
Doherty, Kristen Doherty, Tiffany Dumais (Spencer), Brittany King and
Jodie Byron (Reilly); great grandchildren, Taylor Rohrbach (Mickel
Currie), Hannah Doherty, Evan Doherty, Daniel Agnew, Taylor Doherty,
Kimberly Doherty, Darian Prosser, Jasmine Prosser, Mya Prosser, Jet
Prosser, Drake Paul, Reagan Dorcas and William Dumais; a chosen
grandson, R J Driscoll (Tonya Kelly); two sisters, Minnie McConnell
and Joyce Brewer; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces
and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Rev.
Merle Doherty; a son, Merle Franklin Doherty; a grandson, Tony
Bennett; six sisters, Velma Foster, Alta Demerchant, Alma Doherty,
Zelda Bell, Jean Morgan and Leota LaMont; a special friend, Louis
Calhoun.
Visiting hours will be held at Victory Tabernacle, 8 Independence St.,
Killarney Road, NB on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral
service will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 2 pm from the
church with Rev. Weldon Mutch and Rev. Emily Houle officiating.
Interment at Zealand Community Cemetery.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Hazel, the family
has suggested Hospice Fredericton or Zealand Community Cemetery.
