Obituary of Doreen Simcoe
Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the home of her daughter in Wasaga Beach, on Saturday morning, October 7th, 2017. Doreen Fannie Agnes Farrow-Simcoe (nee Jarvis), of Owen Sound, at the age of 81 years. Dearly loved wife of the late Ivan Farrow and the late John Simcoe. Loving mother of Ronald Farrow (Anita), of Calgary, Clifford Farrow (Margaret), of Bognor, Barbara Scriver, of Owen Sound, Doreen “Reenie” Farrow-Clarke, of Collingwood and Boni-Jean Lowe (Chris), of Wasaga Beach. Devoted grandmother of 24 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Lois Taylor, Barbara Burke (Bill), Iris McMillan (John) and Karen Hutchinson. Doreen will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by her parents, Eugene and Agnes Jarvis; her son-in-law, Buck Scriver; her brother, Morris Ciphery.
A Memorial Service for Doreen Simcoe will be held in the Chapel of the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Robin Dewhurst officiating. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment in McLean’s Cemetery, Bognor at a later date. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (for drivers of cancer patients) as an expression of sympathy.
