Obituary of Muriel Hill
Hill: Muriel Scott a resident of Ridgetown passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on Friday, October 6, 2017 in her 87th year. Born in Falkirk Scotland, Muriel was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Brown) Hunter and step-mother Isabelle (Callendar) Hunter. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Donald Hill. Loving mother of Kathryn Hill of Ridgetown and David Hill (Carolyn) of Fergus. Proud “Granny” of Tyler, Troy and Brooke Hill and Julia and Andrew Walker. Sister of the late Robert (late Elizabeth) Hunter of Scotland. Aunt of Patricia Thomas, Ronald Hunter, Colin Hunter of Scotland and Craig Hunter of Australia.
Muriel was an active member at the Church of the Advent and enjoyed volunteering in the community. She was a 58-year member of Confederation Chapter IODE. Muriel enjoyed being part of Ridge Players Inc. for over 25 years. In addition to playing golf and bridge Muriel was a devoted hockey mum and granny. Friends and family will miss her infectious laugh.
Memorial visiting will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. East, on Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will be held at Church of the Advent on Thursday October 12, at 11am. Reception to follow. A private family burial will then be held in the Hillsboro Cemetery, Plympton-Wyoming.
Donations in memory of Muriel may be made to the Church of Advent, Bluewater Health Foundation or a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be left at www.mckinlayfuneralhome.com.
