Passed away Monday Sept. 18th 2017, at 7:37 a.m.
Mother of Logan, Born June 10th 2017
Amy, proud parent of Logan, proud Algonquin, will be sadly missed by her parents Pam (Calvin), Jim (Carol), and siblings Carlie, Greg (Crystal), Luke (Rhonda). Amy was the fantastic Aunt of Natalie and Clara (Crystal and Greg). It is always difficult to know why a young mother would be taken from us at such a crucial time. In her younger years, Amy was a very powerful child, compassionate, a leader amongst her peers and commonly described as a social butterfly. She came to the Green family as a gift and Pam and Jim were extremely thankful they could adopt Amy. No-one could foresee she would develop health problems and go home to her “Father God” so suddenly, there was no way for any of us to know. In her teen years, Amy had alot of anger and rage, often acting inappropriately. People were frustrated with her, alot of hearts were broken, alot of connections severed. Many people are feeling guilty for cutting Amy out of their lives. There is a reason all of this happened like this, her passing is for a higher purpose. For this reason, we would like anyone to feel free to write a letter to Amy. The Green family will be assisted by the Algonquin Nation to do ceremony to burn these letters unopened, after the service. Please bring a lawn chair if you would like to participate. We want everyone in Maynooth to hear Amy’s powerful message. We want everyone in our government, in the Algonquin community, the Maynooth community, all family and friends to hear this message and know that Amy has her power back. The four grandparents have had alot of life experience and parenting experience and are in a perfect position to raise this child. Logan will be loved and cared for, taught to be a compassionate and loving person with a close relationship with God. As Amy lay dying, the family had many signs that it was time for her to pass over to the other side. We all know Amy went to her “Father God” as the loving, compassionate, intelligent woman and mother we all know she was. Amy’s family will receive relatives and friends at the M.G. Daly Funeral Home (200 Old Hastings Road, Maynooth) on Thursday 2:00 – 4:00 & 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Ignatius Martyr Catholic Church (51 Hwy #127, Maynooth) on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Malachy Ekezie presiding. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy, a Trust Fund will be set up for Logan Green, or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family. (Cards available at the funeral home (613) 338-3259 or e-mail condolences to
dalyfuneralhome@bellnet.ca or visit www.mgdalyfuneralhome.com ). A luncheon will be served at the parish hall after the Mass. If anyone is wanting to help out, please bring food for the luncheon. We are expecting this to be a large funeral.
