Copeland, Clifford Earl – unexpectedly on Monday, September 11th, 2017 with his family at his side, at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Elisabeth Copeland (nee Pertschi) of Belleville. Loving father of Cathy (Jamie) Brauer, of Prince Edward County, Christina (Shane) Walker of Oshawa and Cliff Jr. (Katherine) Copeland also of Belleville. Proud Papa of Morgan, Madison & Wyatt Brauer, Brandon & Claudia Doornbos, Shannon & Sophia Walker and Ethan & Evan Copeland. Cliff Sr. is survived by his sister, Diane Kennedy (Brian Lahaise) and by his brother, Roger Bartley (Frances Plant). He is predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Pearle Copeland, his mother, Jean Cleota Bartley and his brother Kenneth Copeland. He will be fondly remembered by several nieces, nephews and extended family. Cliff was dedicated member of the community and a long-time volunteer with Quinte Search and Rescue, Community Policing, Community Care and the Cancer Society. He was a member of the Quinte Radio Club and the Men’s Cancer Support Group.
The family will receive friends at the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville (613 968-2273) on Sunday from 2:00 t0 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at St. James Cemetery.
If desired, Memorial Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
