Obituary of Barbara Brooks
Brooks (Galway), Barbara– After a year long battle with Cancer, Barb in her 65th year succumbed to her illness on September 6, 2017 at Georgetown Hospital with her family by her side. Predeceased by her husband Richard Brooks of Oakville and her parents, Agnes and Andrew Galway of Bell Island N.L. Leaving to mourn her daughter Hollie (John) Brooks of Ottawa, brother Rivlyn (Stella) Galway of Gander N.L., sister Roslyn (Paul) Murphy of Georgetown and sister is law Kim (Paul) Peebles of Melancthon. Barb will be dearly missed by her nieces, Kim, Janet, Karen, Erin and Tara, her nephews Terry and Brandon and their families. Also missed by her many aunts, uncles and cousins and her many friends and coworkers at Honeywell Canada.
Sincere gratitude goes to all the staff at the Georgetown Hospital and to Dr. Zeni and the palliative care team for their kindness, help and compassion. Barb’s family would also like to thank the Staff at Credit Valley Hospital for their excellent care over the past year.
A sincere appreciation and gratitude for the services extended by Cancer Assistance Services of Halton Hills (CASH), Community Care Access Centre -Halton Healthcare (CCAC) and the staff of Paramed.
Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home 11582 Trafalgar Rd., north of Maple Ave., Georgetown 905-877-3631 on Monday from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday September 12, 2017 at 11:00 am. Cremation.
